December and January update!

Finally settling in the new house, I need to learn to stay home more often and then MAYBE I could get unpacked and things put away! But, thats no fun.

The kids are now taking a bus to school.. well, to the country school, then they transfer to another bus to go to their school.. it was stressful! I couldnt eat that day. LOL I felt sorta ill! Maybe my kids arent so bad afterall since I do care! Hahahah!

I really dont have much to blog about.. or, I have too much, so I cant thing straight?

My Grandma passed away Dec 4th, I miss her, but i know shes no longer in pain. I wrote a eulogy for her, here it is.

My grandma wasnt a typical grandma, she was more of a hilarious older friend..
She was always available to talk, anytime I called her, I loved sleeping over there,because we stayed up late--watching the news.
I'll never forget the night I told her I was pregnant with Eve..
It was Christmas Eve, I had intended to tell my parents and the rest of the family on Christmas Day.. But, I really wanted to tell someone, and decided to tell Nanny.. Im not sure who had called who, it may have been her that called me... She have been drinking, so, I should have known it wasnt a good time to tell her..
But, I did. She was so excited, once we were off the phone she called Aunt Lisa, and told her. Aunt Lisa then called me to warn me that maybe I should tell mom and dad myself before Nanny does... I ignored the warning, which I shouldnt have done...
The next day I told my parents, they then told me that Nanny had already told them, the night before.. I guess I should have listened to Aunt Lisa.

Nanny has done alot of questionable things as a grandma, but it all just added to her being completely awesome.
She snuck us into the bar when she worked there, told us to sit quietly under there and eat our "porkies"
She also lit the BBQ and singed Ryan eyebrows off.
And told us dickie dark lived in her closet and didnt like kids being loud at night or out of bed, this was back when she lived in port maitland so I believed her, and I stayed in bed!

Nanny was sick a long time, and I am relieved to know shes no longer sore or uncomfortable..

But, it makes me sad to know my kids have never gotten to know the real her, before her stroke. They love her, but they would have loved her more had they known her before...She was always a pretty awesome person. I will miss her alot. I love you Nanny.

Easiest thing to write for me ever... but, hardest thing to read.

Also, sad, but, to a lesser degree..

Molly died, she drown in my pond, under ice I am assuming..

December was a shitty month, January hasnt been much better, other than no one died I guess..

Im still single... still alone.
Doing okay tho, just moved, into my parents house, they're living in Hamilton, I am renting their house while they decide if they LIKE living in Hamilton, so that they dont sell their house here and end up hating it.

I'm NOT much of a country person, but, I decided to make the best of it while I'm here, I intend to do a garden of some sort.. and, have some chickens. LOL My kids like collecting eggs from them, however, I will still buy my eggs from the grocery store! I prefer the shit cleaned off them! haha

Kids are keeping me busy, and stressed. They are good at it. :) Eve is currently seeing a pediatrician to figure out wtf. is up with her... if she isnt fixed soon, I will need a prescription for anything from the LCBO :D

We're going to have a house guest for approx 10ish days! :) My cousin, Luke! His mom and dad are going to Mexico, the kids are super excited! I will be sure to take/upload some pics while hes here! Because, I'm pretty sure his mom reads my blog too.. hahaha

Feb 12th was my Grandmas Birthday, so again, we went to the Cemetery to release balloons for her to receive in Heaven ;) My Aunt and Cousin came along this year too, and Damian joined us because it was a Ryder switch day, and he had offered to drive us to the cemetery. :D itd be a long walk.. lol Happy (late now..) Birthday Nana! <3

In december, Damian and I broke up, it was initially *my* fault, which I'll admit the reason to, privately, but-not on my blog. Basiclally, I'm not as awesome as I may seem. Shocking, I know. After I tried for 3 months to get him back-pretty much begging, cried y that whole time too.(Literally daily) and he did something that I don't believe he'd have done, if he cared about me at all, I decided, I'm done. Very done, I had been hurt enough. It wasn't an easy decision, but, I was pushed away more and more every day during that 3 months of crying.. So, I need to toughen up, move on. Which, I tried to do. I told Damian I was meeting someone, he then told me he wanted me back.. Then I had the hard decision of-taking the one who treated me so harshly for 3 months straight--and didn't think anything of it, and who I knew I had TRIED a relationship with already, and had it fail, miserably..and the one who left, and didn't consider my older children's feelings at all throughout it. Or, continue to move on, I decided to continue to move on. No details about who I went to meet-so don't ask. ;) For now, I'm hoping Damian and I can get over nit-picky comments, they suck, and to be honest- hurt more.

I'm sitting at home alone today, so figured I'd change the blog up a little, and make it prettier! ;) Shabbyblogs is a great place for pretty blog backgrounds! Im totally awful at this whole coding process, so, it helped me a ton! Even gives step by step instructions on how to make it work! ;) Thats perfect!
Ryder is gone to his Daddys for a few days while he hunts, :D Its good for him to visit the Stokes, but, somehow I miss the little brat ;) Even when I think of the peanut butter that was smeared on my tv last week, and the poop that was smeared on the door.. oh wait, I dont miss him as much now! Kidding, I still do.

Eve and Ethan are at school--I love that place! ;) I need to go out and get a coffee, but I am FAR too lazy for that still :D Maybe around noon I'll get up and do something productive.. oh wait.. going to get coffee isnt productive?! Then, I wont do anything productive, but, I MAY go get coffee-Even tho I am trying to cut back ;)

Im totally in love with the "Nothin' but the 90's" Its a channel on my satellite, :D I watch/listen to it far too often!! :D Yes, I need a life! ;)

But, we DID get a little caterpillar in Sept, and it is NOW a beautiful(Handsome?!) Monarch butterfly! I took pictures of the entire process. It took a while, but, finally, we have a buttefly.

Could I be any happier? probably. but, still, I love it!
As you can tell, since its October, I am a bit behind, but, atleast I can update on how School is going right? :)
Eve is doing great in school, loves her teacher and is behaving this year, its SUCH a relief! She also still gets to see her old teacher in the library--shes seriously in love with that teacher :D
Ethan is doing okay, I think its a bit too much for him, and I'm not sure hes exactly ready, but, I dont want to give up yet. He does love school. He wrote his name on the weekend, and did amazing!! I was very excited!

The Story of the Gourds...

Last year, I had a couple gourds out as decorations with the pumpkins, after Halloween, I threw them under the back porch, and thought nothing of it, I figured they'd just rot or something?!
Then, Damian got his dogs..
They decided the gourds looked yummy.. and decided to eat them, they fertilized the seeds I guess, and, suddenly we had a plant growing, that I had no idea what it was, at first I thought cucumber? then I thought maybe pumpkins, or watermelon. You know, something useful! :D
Finally, it took over my yard, so I needed to cut it all down, I had still intended on using the gourds as decorations, but, some lovely neighbourhood child smashed them 2 nights ago. RIP Gourds!

So, changing the topic for the rest of today,
10 days ago, I went to Buffalo, and went in Dicks Sporting goods with D and the kids,
We went up the escalator, to the fishing/hunting areas, and on our way down, Ethan suddenly decided he was scared and didnt get on the escalator, once I noticed he wasnt on, I tried to run up to be with him, help him down..
Anyways, flip flop got stuck, jammed my toes into the escalators step, lots of stitches later--it still hurt. :)

Eve&Ryder shared a birthday party this year--because we rented a bounce house! :)
With Eves birthday being July 20th, and Ryders July 7th, I decided I cant be bothered to do two different parties ;) Soo, We had a joint one! :) The kids had alot of fun!
They didnt USE the bounce house as much as these pictures make it look like they did--which was a bit disappointing! ;)

So, my kids woke up EARLY..like, before 6am.
Eve decided to OPEN juice boxes, and SQUEEZE them into a big cup-for who knows what reason! so, she was sent to bed, then Ethan thought it'd be fun to throw ALL the cushions on the floor, and turn the tv up loud. So, he was sent back to bed, now he just stuck something in Ryder's EAR!

What makes children think all this crap is acceptable???? Ugh!
Drinks please? Im sure its 5:00 SOMEWHERE! I'd prefer it be 8:00pm tho ;)

Its currently 2:28am, and I cant sleep. Could be that I am outta pop? or stressed over bills and crap? or just generally not tired. All 3 are bothering me at the moment.

Isnt the baby turtle super cute?? :) We love it!
The tadpole--we have 20 of them, they are Bullfrog Tadpoles, so we will probably not witness them change into frogs very quickly.. we've had them a little over a month now I think--and so far, just back legs! Uh oh.. Long project! ;)
The Goslings are- 2 days old for the smaller ones, and 2 weeks old for the others, the bigger ones, are Canada Geese!

We just got back from a 5 day vacation upnorth @ my Grandpas cottage, it was alot of fun, we ended up painting the old bus PINK! --pretty sure I've mentioned the dirty old bus before ;) LOL
ANYWAYS.. it turned out great! We intend to work on the inside next time we go--in a couple weeks!

So, for my update. :) but-I dont think there really is much of one ;)

Things around here have been normal, Whiney, Crying children, everyday, a father that cancels his visits, and an American that loves Canada too much to leave very often. LOL

I have my G1, so I can now drive (with another driver in the passenger seat) but, its exciting to be able to drive! And, if I drive like an a-hole, Atleast the truck has New York plates on it ;) they think "Dumb Americans" rather than whatever else could go through their minds ;)

Mom had surgery in March, it didnt go so well, didnt help at ALL. So, she has to go back for a different procedure, hoping this one helps her! <3

ALSO, my Aunt Rita (dads sister) has Cancer, and was going though Chemo and Radiation, and then they found ANOTHER tumour, (Im not sure if its cancerous) in her brain :( So, if youre the praying type..please keep her in your prayers, and if youre not? you should be ;) haha Kidding, a bit.

I registered Ethan for School--he starts in September,
He will be going EVERYDAY, ALL DAY

I'm going to miss him being home, hes usually fairly sweet :)

For my Grandma's birthday, I decided since Birthdays are always something highly celebrated in our Family-my Grandma always had everyone over on her birthday (--7pm we all just KNEW that's where we were going on Feb 12th!) <3 We did a balloon release, just Damian, the kids and I, I took some pics, and later regretted not inviting my Grandpa to come, he still hasn't been to the Cemetery since the funeral.

The last year or so, Damian and I havent been as happy as we should have been-and could have been, I mostly blamed him, and I'm sure he mostly blamed me..
At the end, I ended up being the mostly wrong one (Which I admit.)
Anyways, we ended up breaking up for a bit-but were still together quite alot, anyways, we worked it out, and things are much better now, other than the odd dig that he seems to like to throw at me, which is very upsetting. :(
I'm trying now, and I love him, I regret the past, but we learn from the past to form the future :)

I need him, and so do the children, he isnt Eve and Ethans biological dad..but, hes been there alot more than their real dad, so, hes their "dad" :) They miss him when hes back in the USA, unless they're misbehaving ;)
Another post coming tonight, I just thought that this one deserved its own space.

Ethan goes back to the Pediatrician today, hopefully hes discharged from that after today-hes just been so slow at gaining weight that they wanted him to see a pediatrician, this started when he was born, now, 3 1/2 years later, hes still going. He was 9lb 1oz when he was born..who'd have thought he'd have problems gaining weight?? hehe

After the appt, we get to come home and do laundry! Fun life I live! I set up a folding table tho, Its in the basement too :) which will be nice, as I used to use my bed.

Lazy Damian is STILL sleeping, I'm pretty Jealous!

The first pic--is the kids playing with SOME of their new toys :) the second..is a pic Eve & Ethans grandparents had taken of them with their puppy. Eves eyes were closed..lol so Ethans eyes were photoshopped on her ;) The bed...is my new bedding!! :) Then, its Eve playing with toys!! she loved it! the last picture, is Damian, his parents, and grandparents, and Ryder also!

Christmas-I dislike it, well, not really CHRISTMAS that I dislike, its the expectations that everyone has. Everyone wants to see the kids, and just expects it all to fit right in our schedule..meanwhile, I am the one who has been there for them-not their father who didnt come around for a while, and then suddenly showed back up and expects everything to change around HIS schedule. So, I decided NO-He can have them later on at night, I am NOT cramming my day up more to satisfy him. :)

Our plans are INSANE-
Eve & Ethan go to their Grandparents from the 19th-22nd
then we go to Damians on the 23rd-25th, we're leaving there around 9am, to make it in time for dinner with my family..so we have to drive 2 hours Christmas Morning..yay us! Or not.
The kids are then sleeping over at their Dads, for the first time in 2years. I am kinda worried, but, they will be okay. They come home on the 26th.
On the 27th, we have a Christmas Dinner with my Aunt, cousins and Grandma in Hamilton at my Aunts house. :)
Then, on the 29th, We get to go see my Grandpa for his Birthday, no idea how old he is going to be, but....hes getting up there ;) K, I just did the math lol hes turning 71!

This was much easier than last time that we went...Eve didnt have anything to say really, cause she seen a pretty headstone a few down from where my Grandma is. She still doesnt have her stone..they reccommend waiting a year for the ground to settle. :(

While upnorth for Thanksgiving, I was a whiner...I didnt have fun, and I let it be known.
Honestly, most of it was because of all the stuff my Aunt had changed from how my Grandma used to do things, it was upsetting to me..

Also, I had my period at the time, and wanted to be HOME. I was expected to pee in a pail overnight if I had to go..ummmm no :)

Anyways, on a more positive note, I bought a fishing pole, tried fishing, lol first time in a LONG time.
My sister broke her wrist in a quadding accident..silly girl. :)

Eve and I went to the Cemetary to visit my Grandma

Her and I have been planning on going to the cemetary for her to leave flowers for my Grandma, because I sent to her Scotts parents after my grandma died thinking she was too young, wouldnt understand etc-which I really really regret.

So, finally yesterday I went and picked out some flowers at the dollarstore, purple, cause that was my Grandmas favorite colour,

After she stuck the flowers in the ground, she blew a kiss and said "I really really miss you Nana"

of course, I started crying..why did i think it would be so easy to put the flowers in the ground and leave??
I wasnt prepared for her to say anything really... it was so difficult.

Next weekend is Thanksgiving here in Canada, we're going up to my grandparents huge property/cottages upnorth, that is where my Grandma spent her last day..thats where she died. Thanksgiving was important to her that we were all together, and we always spent it upnorth..this is going to be a rough thanksgiving... I miss her alot, I just try not to show it.

I suck at blogging...
Anyways, I went back to working at Bicks, just seasonally, still working tho. :)
Its my time of peace, no children fighting, or asking for snacks, drinks etc.
Its also great social time as well! Makes me feel better about myself to be working, even tho after paying a babysitter-I wont come ahead really. Which sucks.

I move next week! :) pretty exciting, its another 3 bedroom place, this time its got a garage, which will be Damians man room, will have a fridge, couch, beer, possibly a tv? we havent discussed it much yet! I intend on hanging out in the man room too..lol

Eve is back in school, she loves it, but still has problems behaving...she throws fits and wont sit during circle time..ugh, its frustrating. Ryder walks now.... :) he has been for a while, and hes up to 15 teeth..friggen crazyness.
Ethan is Ethan..haha He STILL isnt completely toilet trained, its making me insane.Hes talking alot, cant make him stop sometimes..
Thats all for now really..We go upnorth for Thanksgiving in a week :) *yay* Altho, this is the first time without my Grandma..she died on April 28th, 2009. It will never be the same without her.. not as much to be thankful for this year, Last year, I was thankful for all the family that was there..this year, we wont all be.. :( Tiff, Justin and Austin are coming along this year, and Damian is too <3

Guess I never updated on the court stuff..
I now have SOLE Custody, and Scott has access, every other Saturday, from 10am to 5pm,
Will be nice having time to myself sometimes :)

My grandma had a stroke on Sunday, March 1st, so far, shes not walking, and her speech is worse, its affected her good side, I will update as she improves, shes having physio now to try to get her limbs moving better.

Been a while again, I feel like I say that everytime?? :P

I dont remember to come and post things here..
Poor Ryder is sick, with pneumonia, its sad to see a baby sick, hes on 2 puffers, and an antibiotic or something..hehe he has an ear infection as well..
Hes slowly getting better tho! :) Such a tough little boy!
Eve and Ethan are away this weekend, just left now, and they dont come home till Sunday!
They've also started their "visits" with their dad, from 10-5 every other Saturday, he showed up the first time..we'll see if he keeps it up! :)

SO..umm once again I lied :) I didnt ever post pics of decorations that they made..cause instead, we made Christmas cards. Also, I never posted pics of them yet..cause I didnt upload any yet! hahaha

We got a new puppy! His name is Scout, hes pretty awesomely cute!

We got a new tree this year, a small one :) Its only 3 feet tall, and its cute!
The kids are MAKING decorations tomorrow, so I will take a picture then (of course!) and I will update with the pic!

Maybe it will help me get into the Christmas spirit..who knows.

Ryder has a tooth now..my lil guy is growing up-so sad!
Tooth number 2 isnt far behind, his gums are already a lil swollen from it. Poor little guy!

We just got back from Damian's last night, hes got a few feet of snow, we have none, I am quite happy about that!! We had some a few weeks ago, thankfully, its all melted. Our day is coming though, unfortunately.

Eve & Ethan are away this weekend, and Damian too, hes hunting ;)
So, its just Ryder & I, he sleeps sooooooo much! I am incredibly bored. Sitting on Facebook, no one is online, and, I considered going to have a bath, but I am freezing already, so I decided to wait till the heat builds up since I just turned it up some...haha

The worst part about this?? Its only Friday night. Theres still ALL day tomorrow, and Tomorrow night, then the day Sunday too! Ryder better start staying awake to keep me company :)
I even called my sister today I was so bored..hahahah

Ethan is terrified of Halloween tho, he cried alot, and didnt like costumes. Poor Boy! Hes so sensitive!
Eve loved Halloween, altho she didnt mind that we didnt stay out long, with Ethan being as upset as he was, and the kids just getting over being sick-it just didnt make sense to stay out any longer! :)

We are back from upnorth :) Had a good time, but also was glad to be home!! After 1 night at home, and Eve going for her only school day that week...we took off to Damian's for a few days too!! :) Which we needed to do, it had been a while!
I added some pics, and I will update other stuff in a new post! I JUST figured out how to add more than one pic..I am quite impressed with myself!

We're heading up to my Grandparents cottages this weekend-all the TenBrinke's should be interesting!!

Damian, Ryder and I went out for the day with our friends, we went to Vaughan Mills mall, and Damian stayed in Bass Pro shop with Adam (friend) while Ryder, Bea and I walked around the mall :) As we were walking, I seen a build a bear workshop and I LOVE build a bear..I had never been but have always wanted to go...lol
Sooooo..We went in, the bear..15.00..cant beat that!! the heartbeat..6.95 ummm..okay, the clothes..19.00 OUCH! I wanted Camo..since Damian hunts, but they only had Army camo, not hunting, So, I got fishing, cause I thought the clothes were cute! hahaha

Lucky me..The people upstairs have 2 dogs, that have fleas, I have NO PETS at all, and this is what Damian and I get to do this week!
This apartment is DISGUSTINGLY loaded with fleas!
We are setting the bomb off and then going out, for however long we have to...
atleast I get to go to the drive in and out for dinner during all this!! hahaha

My week of peace begins! :)
Its quiet here! I even took a nap already, I woke up feeling like CRAP tho, Not sure why I try to nap, I always feel like crap after!

We almost had a fire here yesterday! I was making Hamburger helper and Ryder started crying, so I walked away to feed him (it was time for the food to simmer anyways!!)
and a few min later, Eve came RUNNING in my bedroom saying MOM! THERES FIRE!!! YOU COOKED IT TOO LONG! I put Ryder down quickly, ran to the kitchen, seen smoke as I was on my way-got to the kitchen, and she was right! there was flames under the pan!
yikes! I panicked, but got it out, and gave her a great big hug for saving us all :)
She also got some ice cream AND to go swimming like she wanted after that!!
Way to go Eve!!

I am very relieved to say that the E's are spending a week at their grandparents. Am I mean?? hahaha I need a break, this morning was one of the reasons why I do...Ryder..woke up at 5am, Eve..6am, and Ethan 7am, all refused to go back to sleep!
I am tired, miserable and just getting over being sick, so I will appreciate them visiting for a week!!

Yay! Hoping to go before this....but its July 7th, Have to been in Welland for 8am. Its nice to know that in LESS than a week..I will for sure be holding Ryder!!
I have been very uncomfortable lately..so it is such a relief to know that!
The kids go away from the 13th till the 20th, which will be hard since they are just getting a new sibling..I feel awful about them leaving now...just cause its like..I get a new baby..so I just kick my others out for a week....I dunno..I feel bad!
They should have a good time tho..so maybe I just need to appreciate the break..and be happy that they are going. Meh...

Damian was here the last few days, he slept here last night, and left just after 4. I miss him already :(
It was a rough couple days tho..and will be a rough week or two!! I'm tired and miserable and just want this pregnancy to be over with. Also....I lost my engagement ring :( I am truly awful...I know!
It seems we looked everywhere while Damian was here, and no luck finding it, but I Do still believe I will find it, but I don't think I will be LOOKING for it when it happens. We'll see!
Friends of ours came over last night with gifts for the kids, so the kids have been awful today fighting over the new toys! Eve is currently on time out..I would love to keep her there!!

I am ridiculously tired today..... :P

I already KNEW I was going to spend the rest of my life with him...but now atleast I know he thinks the same! LOL
Still no baby.....hes hanging in there even longer :P Its 3am, and I am awake with 2 children who decided to nap during the day..and I let them cause I was in need of some peace!
They slept from 8pm-2:30am, and now I have to try and make them go back to sleep
